Steemians are voting without even reading the post
The reputation score and the dollar value of votes on a given post are influencing the incoming vote of steemians.
I have read few good posts from authors with a low payout and then i just randomly picked up the post on steemit from authors with high reputation score.
And i found that in most cases the number of upvotes received on a given post is way more than the number of views. People on steemit are upvoting blindly but why? the reasons are already mentioned above. I would restate them below.
- Reputation score
- Time when the post was published and its relative dollar value
if a post does not accumulate good amount in its initial hours of release, It would be highly unlikely to even get noticed.
If people are not reading it, authors are almost dependent on nothing but a slim chance of getting discovered and being appreciated for their content. For smart people mostly bots are doing their job by boosting their post payout to get more visibility.
Jerrybanfield in a video stated the positives and the negatives of using post booster bots. I am not going to discuss the video, to cut the story short watch him speaking at 12 minutes until the video completes.
For the one with good connections their connections are doing the job and there is nothing wrong in it. I am just showing you this image to convey the fact that people on steemit are voting without viewing the content.
One can clearly see the human interaction that is 24 comments and 98 views. So its basically 98 people viewed the content and at the max 24 of them chose to comment. The number of upvotes are still 150 more than the people who viewed the content.
Now i cannot speak about anyone's opinion but i won't give away my money to anyone without finding them worthy of having it. The only suggestion i could give anyone is Read Read Read before you give away your hard earned money.
Keep writing good and it might take some time initially, but you'll definitely get noticed and build good connections. If anyone have anything to add to this or rectify the post i will be more than happy to discuss on it. Steem On!

The eyeball number is the number of views by steemit
The eyeball number does not change if they view it with busy.org or esteem app on your phone.
So the eyeball number isn't 100% correct
The rest of what was said could be true. Just do not rely on the eyeball number.
@steempromo if its not accurate why is it there in the first place? if vote can come from different platforms then i am sure there must be a way to know how many views are made from different platforms. Ty for the update although. :D
