Wondering how long before someone tries to buy Steemit
Clearly steemit is starting to take off. I don't normally post of a weekend but I do like to have a look at my account just to see what's going on. When I first joined three months ago the activity was was steady but nothing to write home about, each time I logged in the 'unread items' was mostly single or double figures. This weekend has been a clear indication of not only the increase in membership but the output of users has most definitely increased with notifications being in the three and on one occasion yesterday four figures!
While I am actually disappointed I was not one of the founding members I kind of consoled myself that I had joined while steemit was still relatively unknown. Everyone has clearly been working extremely hard both internally by posting, mostly, quality pieces of work and also externally by promoting Steemit on numerous other social platforms and services. So much so, that I've seen steemit being discussed on all the mainstream service I have an account with such as Twitter, Facebook and of-course Google.
Given this success I was sat here wondering how long before the wolves start circling? unless, as some critics have said, it turns out steemit is a Ponzi scheme which personally I don't think it is and even if it is. I didn't pay a red cent to join so what will I have lost?
