Why Aren't Steem and SBD Listed on More Exchanges? LET'S DO IT

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

The exchange scene is rapidly changing and growing. Binance, Bittrex and Cryptopia recently temporarily stopped registering new accounts because of the insane growth. Binance, which has become the #1 exchange very quickly, is accepting right now; I'm not sure of the others.

There are also a number of up and coming exchanges that are decentralized. The most advanced seems to be Crypto-Bridge. And KuCoin is another really great new exchange that is growing like mad.

But Steem is only on Bittrex and some others that are older and that I don't like. But they are not listed on Binance, KuCoin, Crypto-Bridge, Cryptopia (which is really cool for finding smaller, newer coins), and on and on!

WHY? It's crazy, they have all sorts of random s***coins but not STEEM/SBD? Wouldn't more exposure through these popular and growing exchanges help the Steem platform??

For Binance and KuCoin, a founder or core team member needs to apply. @ned can we get someone on this? It's not hard to apply. I would do it if I could but they don't want community members submitting it.

I'm going to email CryptoBridge and see how to get listed there. Cryptopia I think just costs $. Unforch, I think it's a lot, like 3 BTC or something. I would think that one of the founders would find it worthwhile to do this. After all, @steemit just powered 72 million SP down. What better way to spend it?

If they don't want to, perhaps we could do a fundraiser of sorts where I could post about it (or someone else with more of a known reputation, like a witness) and the SBD from the rewards could go towards that.

Any other exchanges you guys think would be a good idea? Let's get this done.

I'm planning another post explaining the benefits and coolness of some of these new exchanges as well, but I'll leave some ref links here (because I want money and am greedy):

Sign up for Binance!
Sign up for KuCoin!
Sign up for Cryptopia!

Update - KuCoin also has a Vote To List contest, now on round 3, where users can vote for a new coin to add. You can email [email protected] to add Steem/SBD, but again it looks like they want core devs/founders to do this. Binance has one as well but is currently not open for new applications.

Update 2 - I heard back from CryptoBridge - they charge a 0.5 BTC listing fee. They don't say explicitly that they want founders to fill out the form. If we can raise 0.5 BTC I think we can get it on. I'll make a separate post about it.

Hello there, not seen you around for a while, I hope life is good mate :-)

Is there a reason why Steem isnt listed ? Its odd because it has true value and has been worked for. Makes it more stable and serious than half the shite that gets traded, or is this the problem ? Its too 'normal' because its earned by the masses. Either way its a joke and I look forward to your fund raising post. Im sure 0.5btc could be raised, there are whales out there sat with half a mil SP, like a piss in the ocean to them !!

Please also check out your last post, i just commented there too.

Best wishes mate :-)
