Once considered extinct and disappearing for more than 150 years the strange and rare faceless fish was finally discovered by marine biology scientists on Australia's east coast at a depth of 4,000 meters, which was the second discovery since its last discovery in 1873 at a location off the coast of Papua New Guinea.

Originally native to thousands of meters below sea level, researchers from Victoria and the Australian of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) also found the presence of coffinfish, bizarre mushy fish, Gulper eels (Eurypharynx pelecanoides), long red spiny crabs with bright red and there are still many other animals in the sea.

Quoting from National Geographic, Although dubbed as a fish without a face, it does not mean that the Faceless Fish doesn't have a face at all. Just like fish species in general, it's just a different location. Still having a mouth and nose with both pink holes, at first glance we see it looks like a pair of eyes.

And we really can expect it to have no face, as well as the gills, nose and mouth are completely invisible if we see it from the side. While the symmetrical shape of his head is very difficult to recognize between the front and the back.

Until now we continue to conduct search expeditions on strange and rare fish that live in the depths of the unspoiled sea as well as Faceless Fish, a faceless fish in Australia. By using sonar technology and marine cameras, we even found many new species of marine animals in addition to the thousands of specimens that we have managed to find, said O'Hara, Chief Scientist and Leader of the Expedition Team from CSIRO.
