Steem-Powered Dream Camera

Yesterday the price of Ripple went crazy (in Korea at least) with the price jumping to around 3400 won per Ripple (1000 won is close to $1 USD). I was watching the price rise and decided it was time to cash out at least some of my Ripple.

I invested 100,000 on the 13th of December, and by today it was worth 8x that. 8x.

When I started posting on Steemit I promised myself that I would use my earnings to buy a new camera. Since I made my money from photos, and it is my biggest hobby, I felt it made sense to invest a bit more into photography. So yesterday I went camera shopping.

I considered the Canon 80D, 6D, Nikon D7500, D750, Fujifilm X-T20 and the Sony a6500. However, after everything was considered I decided on the D7500 as it was the best balance of price to performance, and I don't personally like Canon.

I got an amazing deal since I am friends with the seller. The D7500 is worth 1,200,000 won, along with an 800,000 won lens. This would make a total of 2 million straight away. Plus a 4k capable SD card which was a further 300,000 and a spare battery/lens cap. However, my friend was willing to give this all to my for 1,200,000 and my old D5300 (worth about 400,000). This was a crazy deal I didn't want to turn up!

My first new camera. Paid for completely by photography through Steemit. A camera that essentially funded itself. While I do believe Steemit has its problems, and its by no means perfect, I have got so much out of it by now. I hope this camera allows me to provide even better content and bring more to the platform!

This has been my dream camera for years (the 7000 series). It isn't pro, but it's only one step below, and that's all I want. Thank you all for helping me achieve this dream!
