In todays world, many people are willing to reward people with upvotes for creating and sharing content when they have seen content by the provider before without watching the new content. The reason this happens from what I have seen is lack of attention span to actually pay attention to the videos, so in turn most people either skim through them or don't even bother to watch them at all and just skim through the comments to figure out real fast what the video covered and just jump in with their thoughts. Its something that no matter what we do won't change, but combating bots will help unskew things some, but in the grand scheme bots will always find a way to prevail no matter what is done to combat them. The best we can really hope to do is minimize their rewards and power.
