To reward someone is like you clicking the 'like' button on facebook except it's an up voteaWell, you just did step one by making a post. The more content you put out in the community & it's of good quality, you will get up votes, maybe re steems which gives you more of a chance for the post to be seen as well as increase up votes, followers & all that good stuff. Comments also can earn up votes because they are "posts" too.
Start by reading others posts and commenting on em that way you be browsing thru the network so while you do that, be sure to follow them because the followers are an audience. Bigger is better plus, networking in the community is the best way to get noticed & your posts read. Basically be active and stay active so you can not only reap the earnings but also earn badges that make you and your profile worthy
