Interesting to see Myanmar among the top regions now. I noticed this trend forming a couple of months ago.
That's interesting to me because cryptocurrency barely has a presence in the country. Interest in Steemit isn't that far behind interest in Bitcoin.
Indeed it's comparable to Ethereum.
Its going to take a really long time, but surely steem will be at the level of bitcoin soon
steemit seems to be replacing bitcointalk as the major cryptocurrency forum and I think its about time that people start coming to this platform to receive the latest news and that is going to help steemit greatly!
Whenever I search something crypto related on any search engine, most of the time I get at least 1 Steemit link as a result on the first page. And not only crypto related stuff. This wasn't the case half a year ago.
Both the quantity and the quality of the content here has increased and search algorithms are starting to "notice" this. ☺
We were getting close to matching traffic back in June, but Bitcointalk has had a bit of a resurgence with the recent bubble. Steem stalled a bit over the same time period but hopefully can gain on it quickly again.
I think we actually do have more posts and comments on the topic of Bitcoin than BitcoinTalk does. BitcoinTalk appeared to have largely turned into an ad-hoc marketplace.
Searches appear to be a great way to judge the interest in a currency. People started using it for bitcoin and it seems to hold true.
It is great to see steem making headway in a country like that. We never can tell where the tentacles of this site and currency will reach.
That is why it is crucial we all keep doing what we can to advance it. There are a lot of people out there who can benefit without much monetarily speaking. Earning a few dollars a week could really impact people in certain areas.
Indeed. It's just unfortunate that some cryptos don't lend themselves to this kind of analysis (for example it's difficult with Dash since it's an extremely common word, and alternatives like 'dashpay' show us little).
