Steemit.com Now Has A Lower Alexa Ranking Than This Time Last Year

Actually I will comment a little bit. This is pretty bad, although most crypto related websites hit this negative milestone some time ago. Steemit.com has held up well in comparison.

What about busy.org? I use busy.org to login to this platform.

Check it on Alexa. Traffic far lower than Steemit.

I think most crypto releated websites have a lower alexa index at the moment.

But to be fair, a lot of users don't interact through steemit anymore. There are better interfaces out there to use so it's not really a surprise.

I don't think there's any evidence to say this traffic has moved to other interfaces.

Yes other interfaces are doing more transactions, but that's generally our most active users. The amount of traffic Steemit.com gets is vastly larger than any of the other web interfaces.

Mobile Apps could be where users have gone, only it's definitely not. e-Steem is the most popular app and is only in the 100k+ downloads range. Partiko is merely in the 5k+ range.

Its not that bad.

This time last year, we were already some way in the bull run.

If were still top 5000 in a bear market , then its pretty good!

i hope to see steem getting up back and very soon too

Still nothing to be too worried about. Although considering the fact that we are a social platform, it is a bit unsettling

Bear markets are great for getting shit coins dropped from exchanges.

For the steem blockchain, this seems a good period to discern which of those on one's follow list are here for the social platform and those here (or not here as the case may be) for the crypto rewards. 😎

Here's the thing... Everyday more and.more articles are being submitted through different applications and sites running "on top " of the blpckchain. So all in all.... Steemit doesnt need Alexa, Alexa needs Steemit😀

That's true, but it's unlikely that any of the other front ends have made up for the lost traffic on Steemit.com. None of the other websites or apps seem to even come close, particularly with read-only users (those who don't make transactions, they may not even be registered).

that's a good point you make. So why cant we just keep adding.usernames to the database and list them on a new steem app... Call it steembid where newbies or people.with lost keys can completeba course, then at the end of the course, they have the choice of buying a discounted username or pay more for a created one... That way we can eliminate people.just signing up and getting.lost, actually restoring unused accounts..

I think the recent HF20 will make this platform better hence it will step up the ranking ladder, I hope so at least!
