The rough low of .00029829 BTC will likely never be seen again as there is far more users and the currency is far more established now than it was in July. The rough high of .00661268 BTC is also astronomically high and highly unlikely to be seen again. I think the halfway point between the two of .00345548 BTC is probably on the high side. I think the future of the currency will hover around an average of .0015 BTC
Unless you're talking short term (next year or so), your scenario is a bigger fantasy than the two provided alternatives. Steem has to grow or die, just like Bitcoin, or it has no future. Steem Power isn't very valuable in a small network (at least, not enough to support our current levels of payouts), except to speculate that the network will grow to where it becomes really valuable for the innate social benefits.
If it does reach scales similar to existing social media giants, or even just a fraction of their size, Steem will be much more than $5 again.
And if it fails, we should be looking at Dogecoin or BitShares for comparison.
Interesting, thanks for the comment, yes I should have clarified I was talking about roughly over a year. I think the price will average about .0015 BTC over the next year.
