A sugestion for Steemit... Upvote buttons on the home page gallery, are they needed?

With much respect a request to the management and devs of Steemit.

I have a suggestion I'd like to put out there. I don't see the point of having the upvote button actionable on the front page trending galley alongside the payout amount. If the idea is for people to take the time to consume and make an intelligent decision on content, the upvote button only needs to be at the end of the article itself. This would eliminate the few that just do consecutive upvote clickin on down the gallery page to gain Steem. I do understand the working of the algorithm that makes you loose voting power when you multiple click in concession, but many newbies and occasional users may not understand this. Also, maybe there can also be a small time delay before the upvote button works, say as about how long it takes for an experienced reader to read the content. 

Also....I just like to give  a warm congratulations to the clever minds that put this platform together. Im not one to spend much time writing, being someone who left school at 15 and prefers to work with his hands. You have had me 2 finger punchin away now way more than I ever have.  Being a very visual person I especially like how well the clean design and layout compliment the use of photographs and video, this is the way that I personally like to express my thoughts and ideas rather than text.
