Steem ownership reflects real world economic inequality - TOP 100 users owns over 50%!
TOP 100 Steemit users takes it all
So here is a breakdown in numbers (numbers taken few hours ago from: http://steemwhales.com/?p=1&s=total):
Steemit - 200 000 000$
2-25 - 90 000 000$
26-50 - 23 000 000$
51-75 - 13 700 000$
76-100 - 8 000 000$
At the same time market cap of Steem is 280 000 000$ according to http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/steem/ so the numbers are NOT adding up.
People from 2 to 100 owns 135 000 000$ worth of Steem which is nearly half of it's market cap!
Now lets compare this situation with real world economy:

What can we do? Lets start discussion. I'm going to present solutions in my future posts. I'm thinking of a system that could not only pledge to posts but also startups or social actions.
Atleast on Steemit as new people join we can dilute the whales by buying up all the newly created steem and steempower! imagine when instead of 38k users steemit has over 1 billion users. I doubt the whales will still own 50% of that pie
Yeah buy from WHALES so they can cashout and take their 2000% profits? It's not smart in stock market.
if the whales are smart they are not selling, you will be buying new steem most likely, and better to buy from whales now than at 1k usd a coin like bitcoin.
So what are you suggesting? Should we force redistribution?
I'm not worried at all. This is a distribution curve. Only time will change it.

Yes there could be a another release of the same story under a different hard cover . Ok, maybe just maybe the authors of the fairy tales we currently re read might of influenced the subconscious of the " new few charterers" at the top of the block . Could continue the series with the same story plot line you are predicting . But let's just continuing to turn the pages and read. Maybe these "new few" at the top of block have the foresight to see, creating original content and sharing it freely , will pay them off handsomely . No need to stay greedy , upvoting and posting on Steemit will eventually spread the cheese.
