What Type of Steemian Will You Be In The Future? (I'd like to know) :)

What Will You Do When You Grow?

As I've been observing and learning, I've noticed there are several types of established Steemian's out there. Specifically regarding how they use their STEEM POWER (see pic below).

(note: STEEM POWER is what gives your votes more value on each click. The more your STEEM POWER, the larger your click value produces.)

So I've noticed there are several types of these established Steemians that use their STEEM POWER differently.

#1 The user that clicks his own posts and comments to maximize his own earnings.
#2 The user that clicks the comments in his own blog.
#3 The user that clicks on good posts and comments by other authors to show a sign of respect.
#4 The user that clicks on the good comments within the comment section of any blog to encourage a message they like.
#5 The user that sends his STEEM POWER to other professional voters to increasing the earnings from their SP.
#6 The user that supports sites such as @originalworks or @resteemable that support growing the community.

Obviously, many steemers do more than one category. (and I welcome their thoughts in the comment section to tell us what they use their STEEM POWER for)

Back To The Question Of The Day

What Type of Steemian Will You Be In The Future???

I'd really like to know :)

Please answer in the comment section by putting the number(s) and if you can explain your choice that would be cool too!

Another fun reason to answer in the comments is that this post will be saved for you to go back and see how accurate you are. I'm tagging it to save it easily so that we can always go back to it. The tag is #whatwillibewhenigrow

I welcome both "newbies" and "established steemers" to answer in the comment section, I think it would be nice to know how everyone thinks so we can get to know each other just a little bit better!

And if you like this idea, don't forget to resteem it so that your followers also see this so they can save their answers forever!

Wait, so there are people who send their SP to professional voters? Why? Please connect me, I vote at least 20 times a day. By the way I try to keep above 80% power so I can appreciate some comments and posts. The plan is to grow my power to help both myself and upcoming people with great articles here. A few whales/sharks have been helpful to my posts in the past few days so I definitely have to extend the gesture to other upcoming guys

ohhh yes there are @ninjadroidx... There are many reasons for each of them, and there are actually quite a few platform to do it. For instance I resteemed one of the new ones the other day from @flagship and @bumper that looks pretty cool... Here's the link:

https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@flagship/hi-i-m-flagship-and-i-m-partnering-with-bumper-to-give-you-300-return-on-each-upvote

Good on keeping your voting power in control and monitoring it. And I like your answers on why you want more SP. I see that you are converting your SBD's into STEEM POWER (which is what I am doing too), but you don't seem to be using the market to do so. What are you using to make this conversion?

Thanks for the link @davemccoy, I just used flagship for a post after reading it. I like that they consider quality before boosting a post. It's great you are also converting to SP. Since I do 50/50 SP and sbd payment, I trade the sbd for SP on blocktrades.

gotcha... I do it pretty similar, except I have been using the currency market in the menu tab. Thanks for letting me know, I'm just sent a small test to @bumper too.

I think the internal market might even be better, I will check it out. I'm yet see anything from flagship myself, but I will update this comment once I do.

ok cool... I'm checking them out too. And let me know the comparison between them... The internal market works good for me, but not sure of the other sites.

I think I made a mistake, flagship doesn't take direct submissions, I will redirect to bumper later in the day. Also, when I select buy under the sbd in the wallet, it takes me straight to blocktrades.us (I believe it is a part of steemit). It's an exchange so you can buy a few other coins, steem, SP and at one point they sold SP delegation but are now overbooked so they stopped.

no no don't do it there... You go to the market by clicking on the Menu Bar in the upper right (to the right of your icon)...

And then click on currency market and you should get this screen

The 3 circles are the 3 things you would need to figure it out... I have been buying at 0.365 conversion rate and then plugging in my SBD and it will automatically tell you how much STEEM you would get to compare.

Let me know if you get the right page.

And can you explain to me what you mean in the last sentence? I'd like to understand it, but haven't gotten a good explanation yet.

Woohoo. Another great post from you. If I have to pick one number, I'd pick number #4, because I think it encourages discussion and makes people feel like their content is appreciated. It helps us to get to know each other better and opens a dialogue....much better than the simple thumbs up you get on Facebook.

You can pick more than one, go for it! And I agree with you completely on your answers (you said it better than me). And lol on facebook, is that still around??? :)

Then #3 and #6 too. All about the community and sharing the love. Facebook still there, it makes a great recruiting ground for Steemit. 😉

I just spit out my coffee lol... that is funny :)

And that's why I "unconstrained" you, because I knew you'd reveal even more awesomeness in your answer!

Hahaha. You funny @davemccoy. Thank you.

Wow, I just got done picking up and putting the pieces back together, of my mind, after it was blown to bits. Yeah, that is exactly what I would love to see happen. gig and utopian projects are a must, that is Nobel Prize kind of stuff. I would like to see some type of bidding service, maybe even a link to paypal, or create a crypto style paypal to buy and sell online using smart tokens, steem, whatever. Glad you pointed that out, the rock I was under didn't hear about these guys ha, ha. Thanks again sir, I will look to get involved in your newbieresteemday program as well, that's a very salty idea as well.

Hey! Another great post! I haven't really been focusing much on what kind of steemian I am as I'm still finding my way through. But I do find myself commenting and upvoting specifically on things that I relate to and personally enjoy or find helpful. So I think I identify most as #4 in your post. I look forward to learning more and trying all these different methods to get the best understanding of what kind of community member I am. Thanks again for another great post :)

Hey @zombabejoy! Thanks for the reply, I like your answer :) ... It is preserved for the future, it will be interesting to come back and look at in a year and see how you evolved :) ... And thank you for the nice words and most of all for your comments and attention!!!

Yeah exactly right, looking forward to seeing where we are in a years time! No worries for the comments, I really enjoy your posts and they are very helpful and insightful :)

I think 2018 will be terrific in so many ways!

and thank you :)

Good morning over there! I think #4 because I like to encourage discussions. And it adds a lot of value to the post. :)
And all these steem power technicalities are still confusing me. But we'll get there :)

Yes I got my rest and now I'm ready to go again! ;)

Thanks for the answer @wanderlass, somehow I knew that'd be what you would say :)

Don't worry, I've been practicing for days now giving help on that subject so I'm honing my skills in order to make it simple and easy to understand. Its coming soon ;) (and ps its not that hard to understand once you get past the initial concept, you will be an expert within a week)

You're good at transforming it to simpler terms for us. And even having a lesson for us -students! Teacher @davemccoy :)

lol... that's funny because my students are more talented than me. But I am glad I can help people, and I'm thrilled with the team of people that are starting to integrate with each other here. Just look through this thread and you see warm-hearted and fantastic people from all around the world....

Pretty cool if you ask me!!!

I think that's just one of your talent. You connect us all here and motivate us :) You're like the leader :)

well thank you, that is very nice (big smile)

:)

Cool you know a lof of markdown formatting now :D

^_^

haha I would say a lot... but more than I did last week ;) hehehe

ps... Do you have an answer as to what type of steemian you will be when you grow? I would definitely like to know ;)

#2, #3, #4 because I want to support good posts and comments,
and #5 because I want to increasing the earnings. :)

Thanks for answering and I have a feeling you are going to increase those earnings quite a bit in the future... I see some serious potential already!

Thank you very much. :)

This post has received a 0.15 % upvote from @drotto thanks to: @banjo.

Thank you so much @drotto and @banjo... And I welcome you to tell us about how you work or direct us to a specific post that will explain how you work! In fact one of our commenters @ninjadroidx was just asking about something similar.

welcome to steemit @davemccoy, best regards..
hopefully you feel at home here. 😊

Hope you read my comment from yesterday, you are still sending the same post. I'm trying to give you a helpful hint, you might want to pay attention.

another great post @davemccoy I absolutely love the way you are getting people to engage in conversation and sharing their thoughts and opinions...We will all get further in life with a little help from out friends! To answer your question here I think I have used my upvotes on everything except number 5. I usually upvote comments and other peoples posts as well as #resteem them.

Thanks @charisma777 and you are right that together we can get a lot more done than on our own. I was waiting to hear your answer and completely get that point. I want to be the one that dishes out those pennies and hope to influence others in many ways! Thank you for telling me your answer and it is now preserved for posterity ;)

ps... If you haven't seen the our class logo yet, check it out @ossyjay did it for his classmates, its cool and let him know what you think ;) https://steemit.com/art/@ossyjay/graduating-class-17-logo

My aim is to grow my reputation to be able to compensate more hard working folks and non-profits/special cases through my own hard work. I try to genuinely encourage other's to comment and help make Steemit more social, instead of a money machine as many other's are doing (and stating they are not hypocritically). I personally like using @originalworks as a form of authenticity stamp to my work. 🐸

@coquiunlimited that is an awesome response and you are someone that gets my respect big time! I share your goal and methods, you have more in common with me than you realize. I'm glad we connected and thankful that you put your answer on this page for others to see! It means a lot to hear such things (it gets contagious).

ps. since you are also a classmate of 2017 steemians, click here and check out the logo @ossyjay designed for our 2017 class graduation! Here's the link: https://steemit.com/art/@ossyjay/graduating-class-17-logo

I am humbled by your kind response to my comment. Sure, will check it out. 👍🏼

Stay in touch @coquiunlimited, we're definitely on the same team!
