The United Kingdom of Steem...laced with my thoughts of SMT and the future that awaits us all....

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Today I envision the United Kingdom of Steem where prosperity, freedom of speech, liberty, and justice are written in codes that governed its way of life. It is a kingdom like no other that encourages creativity, entrepreneurship, invention, innovation and the flexibility needed to tackle today’s toughest challenges. Our way of life, the codes that govern us, sets us apart as we strive to put power in the hands of its citizens.
........................ ...........................

Its founding fathers envision a new concept, not base on taxation or centralized control but by rewarding its citizens who participate, who create, who innovate with much sort after cryptocurrency known as Steem/ Steem Power and Steem Back Dollars.

Within this Kingdom, citizens all share a commonality of a Graphene blockchain. It is the infrastructure that powers the kingdom, it allows citizens to seamlessly perform all activities. Unlike other kingdoms, citizens aren't charge erroneous fees or taxes. Instead the kingdom seeks to empower its citizens with Steem/ Steem Power and Steem Back Dollars.

Now we enter into a new dispensation of the Kingdom known as Smart Media Tokens which would further empower its citizens to issue their own Steem-like token. This Steen-like token would allow its citizens to further monetize all possible forms of initiative from business, causes, groups, ICOs, etc. With such innovation, the possibility is surely endless and I guarantee that there isn't any Kingdom providing so much empowerment. I am particularly excited about the possibilities of SMT offering a solution to the ICO crisis. It also provides opportunities to communities trying to tackle varying issues by allowing participants to buy into such tokens which can provide much needed source of funding.

The future of this kingdom where so much of innovation are already built in looks promising. It is shaping up to be the place where all of your dreams and aspiration can be attained.

Citizens of this kingdom, what would you do to make this dream a reality? Share you thoughts and ideas...An with our open-door policy we welcome everyone to sign up and we encourage you to encourage others to be apart of this Kingdom...

Yes @daudimitch, I would actually consider moving back to my Island, the United Kingdom of debt slaves (Britain) if this happened.

Great post, resteeming this beauty.

Hahahahaha "I would actually consider moving back to my Island, the United Kingdom of debt slaves (Britain) if this happened"

Kingdom suggests a centralized system where power rises to one person controlling it all.
Rather, I would prefer to think of Republic of Steam. This would be more in line with what the block chain is created for. Each person gets by on their own merits and contributes to the whole. In a republic, everyone has a say and can vote based on their steem power.
Those who provide good content get upvoted and gain a better reputation, while those who don't get flagged and while not getting shut out, just don't get shown in feeds.
Every idea, for better or worse, is on the block chain forever.

Thanks for your thoughts...good analysis of the use of word probably I could used better description as you suggested but the emphasis was to bring about a sense of the size and comparison to what people know like USA or United Kingdom, was trying to capture the possibility probably Steemit can give kingdom a new meaning with the possibilities of so many application being built and added...it could be a sweet rally around the Steemit platform

I figured that was what you were going for, but it didn't strike the right chord with me. As a student of history, the words Kingdom, Empire, Duchy, etc, were always used to describe a top down method of rulership, where one person was "divinely" chosen to rule over other people, and usually kept them down by not allowing them to use their talents.
I was using Republic in a broader sense, much the way Aristotle and Plato did, using it to describe groups of men who worked together for the greater whole.

Got you, thanks for the analysis, I was just trying to capture the breathe and wide reaching range the Steem can achieve
