"Their lives were ruined"Survivors of MK Ultra demand restitution.

On April 13, 1953, the then-Director of Central Intelligence Allen W. Dulles officially approved project MKUltra. Project MKUltra was the code name given to a CIA mind control program, where experiments on human subjects that were designed and undertaken by the CIA which were, at times, illegal. Declassified documents suggest that they investigated "chemical, biological, and radiological" methods of mind control as part of the program. Spending an estimated $87.5 million if adjusted for inflation.

When congress and journalist in the states started asking questions they exported experiments to Canada. These experiments resulted in victims' incontinence, amnesia, forgetting how to talk, forgetting their parents, and even thinking their interrogators were their parents. Several of the children who were experimented on were sexually abused, in at least one case reportedly by several men. One claimed that she was filmed numerous times performing sexual acts with high-ranking federal government officials, in a scheme she said was set up by Cameron and other MKULTRA researchers, to blackmail the officials to ensure further funding for the experiments.

In short; their lives were ruined and now families of MK Ultra survivors are planning class-action suit. The families of these survivors gathered in Montreal to share their recollections and traumatic history and review medical records, as they are planning to file a class-action lawsuit against the provincial and federal governments of Canada and possibly McGill University. Even though the statute of limitations has been reached in many of the MK Ultra cases, families are still planning to seek compensation and a public apology.

The groups lawyer Alan Stein who has successfully represented numerous survivors who were once patients at the infamous Allan Memorial Institute at McGill University feels optimistic about the case saying -

“I believe we can claim moral damages as a result of the experiments when Dr. Cameron used these people as guinea pigs.”

“Certainly I believe we can claim moral damages and damages resulting from the detrimental effect that the treatments had on their behavior,” Stein said.

It is also important to note that none of this would be happening without CBC News investigative journalist Elizabeth Thompson who regularly checks government public account records for story ideas, and is the first who noticed a line about compensation for someone who had been quote 'depatterned' at the Allan Memorial Institute. It was her who called veteran lawyer Alan Stein, who has represented MKULTRA survivors in the past.

As it stands it is clear that Western governments have attempted to suppress all information about the program. And as for the pending class-action lawsuit in Canada, maybe it will provide enough momentum to finally spread the truth of this heinous duel government project, and possibly unlock even more secrets about what really happened during those incredibly twisted Mk-Ultra years.
