Steem Dollar, WHAT a JOKE ...!

Hi there ,
I certainly didn't understand something about steem dollars...
Are steem dollars SBD?
Because I believed that Steem Dollars were the price-stable currency tokens that represent about $1 each in value😳😳😳
Could someone explain to me why the actual value is more than 12$???

I'm not the only one who didn't understand that's why I post it this here so please give me answer and share it by resteem it.

    That's not How it is supposed to work...! If I'm not wrong , SBD was created to be valued 1$ each! Too easy to change rules when you're full

      Yes that is in theory. In real world supply and demand takes over. Bitcoin was not designed to be 18K but it reached that point. No cryptocurrency can be algorithmic controlled for market demand and supply. You can see that rich and mafia's investing into bitcoin and blockchain increasing value of money these days but it will eventually hit the threshold. You can create a crypto to peg on the 1 USD value but if market demands more then value eventually increases due to set of availabe coins being limited in market. More coins get mined value gets reduced till another round.
