You could just think of it this way. Hipsters are basically the modern yuppie. Yuppies got a whole bunch of stuff done in the 80s even though they were yuppies. It's the legacy that remains that is important.
Steemit is practically just an experiment. It can't possibly be perfect. Your identification of this small slant towards WHALE power maybe true and is probably on the minds of others too so, thanks for posting this. Maybe you'll start your own mini steemvolution that will make the platform better! 😬
Capitalism yes, but not communism. I see more of a fixed enterprise. There's a lot of frustration boiling over. For myself this is my first comment in over a week simply because my rewards do Not encourage me to make more time. I try and give quality input with little to no success. Either need to shift voting power a little bit or market for more members. I'm not sure. Maybe changing ratio of power to people who spend time on curating and writing. Time in = more SP, or something similar. Can always be adjusted according to members and such. Just my opinion though, if it has any value.
