Golem World Wide Super Computer

Guys!

Today I heard about Golem! a pretty new crypto currency! Their idea is to use the crypto technology to divide a task that requires large quantity of computer power into small segments and assign them to different users on the network. These users would then use their computer processing power to computer their small segment. If you want a better explanation to what they do, watch the video below.

As a reservoir engineer, I conduct simulations that require a lot of computational power and can take days to complete. With that being said..Golum sounds like a really promising idea!

I was wondering if anybody knows a little more about this project? and how they are doing? Has anybody invested in them?
