Hi @colinhoward. I currently delegate a small potion of my SP to MinnowSupport because I am thankful for all they have done for me a minnow. It never occurred to me that one could get a steady stream of income from doing this--still not exactly sure how this works.. I imagine the delegation must need to be quite large! Also, I just assumed the delegation was permanent. I'm still learning.
That's great that you give back to them, I also support the concept of the project and am happy to hear you've received value from it.
You can definitely undelegate from the bot, you just need to delegate in the negative whatever amount you initially delegated.
In terms of making a decent amount from delegation, it is possible, assuming SBD remain at a higher value. I delegated 2196 SP, which provided an average return of 1.716 SBD. I would certainly be able to receive more SBD from making consistent posts of my own, though it is nice to receive a payout for doing nothing. To actually receive enough to hypothetically be able to pay bills with, I think you'd need closer to 10,000 SP.
I think I will delegate a portion of my SP to minnowbooster in the future on an indefinite basis, as you have done.

I want to learn about delegation as well, it sounds soo interesting... But I am still reading a lot more on how to improve my self here. You guys are helping me... thank you...thank you :)
