[Steemit The Black Mirror #1] - The Beginning

in #steemit7 years ago

I, as a mathematician living in an ivory tower, usually don’t come down to earth (literally and metaphorically) to see what’s happening around here. But Steemit deserves my attention because of the series called “Black Mirror”. In one of the episodes of Black Mirror, the society has been possessed by a nefarious social media application so people was valued by their popularity.  If you swear at someone in that dictatorship-like society, you lose REAL money (familiar?). BUT, if you compliment someone, whether it’s genuine or not, you make money or gain some prestige (familiar?).

But negative emotions and behaviors are as much of human nature as positive ones. Inhibiting them doesn’t do any good, only produces hidden psychological aneurysms.

That’s the picture: My genuine crypto journey is constantly being banned by Steemit’s stupid bots. They’re unable to differentiate the real story from the fake one. I make REAL MONEY and want to share my journey and help people. But given the current status of bots, I can say, they promote bot-like behaviors.

They used to say that Steemit would be the most indepedent blog platform. Bullshit! It’s more totalitarian than Google’s Blogger.

One last thing:

If you promote mediocrity, eventually, Idiocracy (the movie) is going to be a reality and people gonna say,

for the society, the following video (Psy - Gangnam Style) is more valuable,

than this one (Aydın Esen - Induan):
