Hey everybody,
I am sharing the latest event organized by Steem Education Initiative (SEI). As we all know that the whole world is talking about women empowerment, so SEI decided to take this initiative to next level and empower female students in Pakistan.

Everyone deserves the chance at a better life. Here at SEI we wanted to help the female students to empower themselves by providing this training. I strongly believe that the Steem platform will create opportunities for these students to have a much better life.

1st SEI Training Session for Female Students

The success of the 1st session of SEI quickly spread and a few female students contacted us, interested to attend a training session. It was so encouraging and motivating that we are doing the right thing. So we decided to have a separate session for female students, in Pakistan, most of colleges and universities are separated by gender

I started with my introduction to open the training session. A little about me: I am heavily involved in crypto currency and forex trading and analysis. I studied Food Technology and so I know all about food and nutrition. Most importantly, I have started to take my Steemit passion to a higher level and have started promoting Steemit with my Steem Education Initiative. The initial response to SEI has been amazing and encouraging both from the Steemit community as well as my local community.

Barriers in Education

A little overview of the barriers that female students are facing here in Pakistan was given. The major issues brought up were that these women have a complete lack of freedom to move around and have a job in a male dominant society. Our intentions are to break these barriers with the help of the Steemit Platform.

Steemit Blockchain and Its Amazing Power

In this part, the students were given a brief introduction about the steem blockchain and its amazing power to empower them.

The fundamentals and purpose of the steem blockchain were briefed in the most simple to understand manner

The Reward System

We explained the reward system to the students and how it works

What to Do / Not Do on Steemit

This is an integral part of the training as it explains the beginning Do's and Don'ts upon joining Steemit. Topics such as signing up, storing your password safely and writing an Introduce Yourself post were covered

Creating an Account on Steemit

The main part of the training was to assist the students with opening an account on Steemit. This was explained briefly and the majority of the students had already created accounts and a few were still waiting for approval of accounts.

When I discussed the idea of training female students with the other Directors of SEI, I got immediate support. Especially @princessmewmew, who extended her support and sponsored a lunch for the students and gave them a beautiful gift of a notebook.

Refreshment and Lunch

At end of the training session, students were given refreshment and lunch that was fully enjoyed and loved by the students. I am grateful to @pricessmewmew who was the sponsor of the refreshments and lunch. She also sponsored gifts to students that were thankfully accepted by them.

Final Words

Our intentions are to empower female students of Pakistan with the help of the Steem Education Initiative, so that they can stand on their own feet and support themselves.

We will be doing following things in future training sessions.

• Steem Education Initiative (SEI) will conduct regular trainings
• SEI will cover all Steemit Topics in future trainings
• SEI will conduct trainings on cryptocurrencies
• SEI will train students in crypto trading so they can earn well
• SEI will get all members to join the ADSactly platform to broaden their scope
• SEI will give daily, weekly and monthly rewards to deserving students
• SEI will enable students to afford their education expenses
• SEI will sponsor higher education for extremely talented students

Making a Difference!

Steem is revolutionary because its not just a blockchain focused around cryptocurrency, it is a blockchain designed for people and communities. It is an amazing tool for co-operation, learning and growth. Citizens of the world can use the Steem blockchain to interact and learn from each other. Teaching people of developing countries to become better writers and publishers will bring about positive change in poorer countries and effectively make a more fair and inclusive world dynamic.
