Anyways I think the IRS are opening Pandora's Box by trying to tax cryptos before they have been turned to fiat, even then it could become very problematic. Like you say they don't have limitless resources to monitor these things.
Yeah I hope they realize how crazy it is. They are so slow...it'll probably take them years to make any favorable change.
