Two weeks after Jussie Smollett was savagely attacked in a hate crime, the Empire star speaks. In a recent interview with Robin Roberts of Good Morning America, Smollett discussed the incident and the many "doubters" who questioned his story. The actor told Roberts he thought the incident was a racist and homophobic attack - he remembered that his assailants were "F * cking Empire n *****" and "This is MAGA country, n ***** "- and he insisted that people" would have supported him a lot more "if he had been attacked by" a Muslim, a Mexican or a black man "and not by whites.
