STEEMIT. ONE MONTH AND ADVICE TO NEWBIES NEWER THAN ME.

Hello everyone.

Just thought I would give some advice to the new members on here who are struggling.

Firstly stop looking at other posts showing big $ signs wandering why you have next to nothing. There is most likely nothing wrong with what you have done. Forget posting for a short period and find and follow people with similar interests to you. If you enjoy their articles upvote and follow them. You must comment and visit them regularly. This is time consuming so there are no shortcuts. Remember you always crawl before you walk. You will also learn that some members on here don't care and just post. Those are the ones using bots and rarely comment.
Once you have done that you are ready to start posting but don't expect miracles over night. Your vote is still worth a big 0. What you should be aiming to do now is to build up your SP and your reputation. You were delegated 15000 SP when you started and need to pay that back. The aim is to get into a positive very quickly and aim for 50 000 SP. By doing this your reputation has grown and your vote is now worth 1c. Once you have done this you are on your way.
There are no shortcuts and it is dedication and hard work that pays off. Your articles need to be interesting and avoid the bots as they will most likely lose you money. Very rarely do those large payouts make money as the author has sunk a lot of money into them.
