What steemit really need is a captcha

in #steemit7 years ago

And not just any captcha. The one placed at the random place in post, that's required in order to comment.

Ideally, it would be required to comment on post and prevent bots from commenting without even reading the content.

The problem of 'earning from comments by up-voting yourself' is very present especially in area of art, photography and similar tags. While doing nothing wrong, this eventually leads into a tons of comments that are totally unrelated to an article only with the purpose of promoting other accounts and content. It hurts quality of discussion

What do you think about the proposal. Would it be of help keep the discussions on topic and minimize bots? Are there other approaches that could address the problem.

Looking forward for an opinions.

Great post! I upvoted and followed you. Follow me back!

No just a joke ;) A captcha for the comments is really necessary as there are more and more spam comments.

@grider123 I am already following you long ago, from the Gridcoin community :)

As for the spam, I don't have much of such situations, probably because I am usually posting tech related things. However, my wife noticed the very big problems with spam, she is posting in artist groups. I guess much more people are involved there, hence the amount of spam.

Lol, i just saw the joke part :) For someone complaining about people not reading post, maybe i should start reading comments more carefully :D
