I appreciate this post because it is not blinded by forced neutrality nor is it staking statism vs anarchy. Freedom is what is in question. This entire post really is the device which philosophers have debated for centuries. There will always be criminals, rapists and murderers, thats one reason why government is necessary. If we want to dissolve the state we need the infrastructure and set-up to allow such a society to exist. There must be equal playing fields, equal access to information, and people should follow the Categorical Imperative.

In many senses the idea of the blockchain monetary system gives rise to these ideas. The rules are level in blockchain, encryption keeps us all safe and secure. Next the ledger makes transactions transparent. Finally the system of trading and or bartering is based on trust, the categorical imperative, doing to others as you would want to be treated.

Steem is an extension of these concepts, bringing liberty in freedom of expression, creating wealth from things that improve our lives, educate us, create conversations, and sometimes even have a good laugh.
