RE: Oh strange, what do I hear not much of lately ?
You can want a perfect world, and you will get it just after dogs and cats learn to live in peace and all wars are cancelled.
All I was saying in an uncensored way is I am fed up with people bad mouthing Steemit and suddenly when I take the opportunity to tell these people what sort of people they really are people are suddenly traumatized by the words on their internet screens; amazing . . .
I didn't say I was traumatized. I said I don't want that in my feed. I could have just unfollowed you, but I decided to give you some uncensored feedback, and you decided I was demanding a perfect world.
I apologize for my little rant, please understand; I have endured three months of fools speaking trash about Steemit and making silly comments.
I know people see enough nastiness online every day and I TRY and not be like that in Steemit, but over time somethings just get you down and you need to vent or rant.
That was my comment to all the doubters who have just repeatedly propagated ridiculous opinions about Steem etc. I apologize for upsetting your online surfing but that is something everyone risks over the public internet now-a-days.
Things like decency, respect, consideration are now obsolete social words tht are found in the dictionary after the word DINOSAUR, they have no place in the new age modern Y2K millennium, I wish they do apply; the same way I wish politicians would cancel income tax.
I might want it to happen, but it is not ever going to happen...
Thanks for your apology. I hope you are wrong about decency having no place in society now.
The price of Steem is a problem for people wanting to earn on the platform. It's an opportunity for people wanting to invest in the platform through their contributions.
I haven't read the story in Rolling Stone yet, but that exposure should bring more people and gravitas to the platform. I hope it's a welcoming place for everyone.
I think 99 % of people have never heard of Bitcoin or cryptocurrency or Steem. I am just trying to help Steemit become a niche website as an open source uncensored internet place.
I am not the greatest presenter but I am trying to help steemit out with my feeble weakling efforts and have spent months watching people take cheap ill informed ridiculous shots at Steemit. This is my hobby business, I like Steemit and I know I will never get rich like some quality authors here but I want to upsell steemit and try and oppose ignorant posts that hurt steemit.
It was an attempt to belittle those "people" who have spent months trying to make Steemit fail. I believe in what Steemit is trying to do and I wanted to throw some nastiness back at these ' people' . . .
After all that is the purpose of a rant; to get attention and force your point of view across; which is what I intended. I never intended you to get 'injured' by my nastiness.
As you say; there is enough nastiness in the world already, I try and be polite and positive and respectful even in the face of others who are talking trash about "my" 'website' ! ! !
Apologies...
Again my deepest apologies for disrupting your online pursuits in this lengthy matter relating to my post. I severely dislike those who have been not nice to steemit, but regardless Steemit is an open forum; however I never intended to waste your free time like this. So apologies again . . .
Personally What I would like is to take all my modern conveniences like netflix and internet and drop back into 1950 where , cooperation, politeness, respect and manners meant something; but it is just not going to happen...
Regardless of that I had no good cause to disturb your day; bye 4 now & /hugz...
I've been puzzled over this nostalgia for the 1950s. I was born early in that decade (yeah, I'm OLD). I drank from a whites-only water fountain and went to a segregated school. My husband saw a black man hanging from a tree. Gays were closeted. My mother spent a day a week boiling water over a fire in the yard to wash our clothes. If my father hadn't hunted and fished, we would have been hungry. People lost their professions over their political beliefs. Not to burst your bubble, but whether the 1950s were a great time depends on your point of view. Manners hid a dark underbelly where it was accepted that wives and children could be abused.
Thanks for an interesting discussion.
