This week has seen some of the largest global investment pledges into the blue economy that the world has ever seen. It truly is an exciting time to be working in this space.
"We are all in the same canoe"- Fiji's Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama, comments made while announcing that Fiji will issue a USD$50m "green" bond in the coming weeks to help combat the effects of global climate change, the first developing country to do so, its prime minister has said.
The global "green" bond market is expected to reach $134.9 billion in 2017, according to the World Bank.
