I Should Have Had More Posts Ready To Go! 😆
"If we couldn't laugh we would all go insane."
- Robert Frost -
This is my first shameless Steemit money grab...
After thinking about my last post for a bit, I've concluded that rewards probably will decline pretty quickly again. And so, here I am with my second post of the morning, hoping to ride that wave! ;)
Laughing all the way to the bank...

Here's what will happen.
People will adjust their voting. You should adjust your voting. Right now, each vote is worth more, but the value of your vote begins diminishing faster...
And so, you may want do "dial back" your voting slider, or at least certainly pay more attention to it!
Until everyone figures that out,
I'll be laughing all the way to the bank... 😆

You are why I'm here on Steemit!
I have very eclectic interests and hope, over time, to write about them all.
I was braced for things to go horribly awry, the day is not over yet, like when the whole reward pool disappeared. I still don't understand how millions just vaporize.
I read somewhere that you know when there is actually a conspiracy against you when every event goes against you. If it is actually random chance, then things will occasionally fall in your favor.
Let's hope things keep going the way they appear to be going.
Yeah, there have been days when I've felt that conspiracy of all things against me.... ;)
I hope your (and our!) day comes out for the best! ;)
It's looking good so far.
I am still a bit trepidatious about the clods in government who seem bent on stopping all progress with their taxation money grabs. A rising tide lifts all boats, unless the tax thieves are in the hold drilling holes in the hull.
I'm even more concerned about the brainwashed masses who stand still and allow that!
For example, look at this recent conversation.
There's an entire article with people discussing how to fork over "their" taxes to "the man."
Sad.
I'm more convinced now than ever that the willing slaves are more dangerous than the IRS could ever be.
Indeed. The willing slaves have become the ultimate enforcers... );
Indeed. I have to wonder what it takes to free the resistant. Frederick Douglass agonized over this, and I don't think he made as much progress on the problem as he would have liked.
I was hoping it was NOT going to be a repeat of the last HF fiasco! This seems to be the mirror image of the last time LOL
Let's see how it plays out. I do have to say it is a welcome, though probably temporary, change.
i'll be out of voting power in no time! lol
Yep! I think I've already pretty much "shot my wad," and it's not even 10AM yet! :D
Thanks for stopping by and voting!!! ;)
😄😇😄
Don't feel bad, I did the same!!!! We movin on up!
Yeah, we minnows be gettin' schooled! ;)
I appreciate the post. This Hard Fork 19 Stuff is all new and I have heard both positive and negative. Some talk of those on top and bottom benefiting. However the middle loosing from the change. Well I am a 48 so that puts me in the middle. We will have to see. Thanks for the great post. I put up a couple of new posts on my blog as well. Blessings. - Troy
Best wishes... IMHO, it's far better to be here on Steemit than elsewhere! ;)
Well, yes... those who are also active curators will soon enough dial back their voting weight.
Frankly, I already like this new paradigm because I can give "substantial" lifts to truly stellar content, and just "a tip of the hat" to something rather average... maybe not everyone will operate like that, but I feel it might encourage more... responsible curation. At least in an ideal world... of course, that's offset by the fact that many humans are just plain greedy.
Excellent points, my friend... We need to be much more aware of our "voting sliders" from now on! :D
So about that voting power: You need a certain amount of Steempower for that to be activated, right? Because I don't see that anywhere. My votes are now worth about ten cents, which is cool but will probably deplete my stash rather quickly. And then it regenerates within 5 days?
The more Steem Power you have, the more your vote is worth. It's called "powering up," and you can do that by buying Steem and earning Steem.
Not sure about how long it takes to regenerate? I know there are articles about that if you look for one. ;)
Yup it did take a few hours for the HF reality to finally sink in but people have already started to adjust their voting sliders, so the rewards aren't as extravagant as in the morning!
I'm more interested in seeing HF 19 as an instrument to recruit more people from other social media sites - especially Facebook and Twitter - and increase our readership on Steemit. The more comments on our articles, the better! ;)
Yes, I suspect the excitement will result in an uptick in Steemit membership. :)
Now that's the kind of excitement I'm looking forward to the most - can't wait!
