I had the biggest surprise today.

Good Evening Steemians.

I had the biggest nicest surprise today on Steemit, I still cannot believe what happened and I am not sure 100% what happened.

So this morning I had a little bit of writers block and could not think of a topic that I wanted to talk about, although part 7 of my move to bulgaria is in the works it is not yet ready. So I decided to flick around on you tube for a little while to see what was happening on there, and somehow I got into 80's retro movies. It was then I got to thinking about doing a nostalgic post about my childhood in the 80's

So I spent the morning writing my post about what I enjoyed about the 80's and published it. About an hour in it was around the same amount as usual, my great followers commenting. I got to talking to another steemian on discord and then headed out to do some shopping.

I was away for like two hours and then I thought I would check in on esteem to see what had been happening on steemit. I looked at the new post and then looked again, and I took a little stumble. It had reached 120 upvotes and the amount was at $200, I thought it might have been an error on esteem so I headed home to jump on the laptop.
It was now at 125 upvotes and around $202 SBD.

Now I don't know exactly what happened if I got a whale vote or just the post was very popular, but here is my conclusion.

My reputation with every post goes up slightly, with this post and the amount of upvotes it climbed from 43 to 51 in a few hours. If people are telling you to write good content and to keep writing then do it, do it every day even if you are posting two posts you never know.

My last thoughts

I reach out to the person who helped to bring my post off the ground, I don't know exactly who you or you all are, but deeply, deeply deeply I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The money earned will be going back into SP I have already decided this, but thank you for giving me back my confidence in my writing.
