It wouldn't stop people from going to non-vicecoin sites to watch for free. Presumably you would want people to watch it, and if people can see it they can screen record it, and then post it on those non-vicecoin sites for profit. The only way this could work is if there is a ban on any porn site not using this tech. Still a very cool idea. I saw a guy on reddit earlier today talking about almost the exact same thing but instead of porn it was all forms of media, it was called Play.
Right, this could happen. I didnt get into that very deep, but if your content is properly tagged it would be registered and DMCA could automatically take it down. As it is now, you have to file a takedown notice and there's actual manpower involved amd it's costly. Tracking would be automated and frame by framse. I think this app will be used by DMCA directly so, it will be much easier to identify pirated content and remove.

These free sites will eventually use their portals to tokenize their sites I think. The free tubes use advertisement space to make it free to users and theres been a huge decline in revenue from this model in the past few years.
I believe Youtube has a similar system called Content ID. It is meant to automatically file copyright notices, so the revenue on the videos goes to the copyright holder. There are a lot of very easy ways to avoid it, which is why copyrighted material is all over youtube. You can speed up the video by a few %, change the saturation of 1/4 the screen, put a border around it, and then the only way it can be found and DMCA'd is if the copyright holder does it personally.
And also, there will always be websites that blatantly ignore DMCA notices just like how pirate bay does. If this system does actually come into play, many people who don't want to pay for porn would be pushed into piracy, making a huge market for a website like that.
