If you are really concerned about your food supply, check out my Steemit channel and my YouTube channel and you can learn to eat weeds, tree leaves and flowers. They can be real food for regular people. And they are everywhere! I eat a lot of weeds and a few of the animals that roam around here, too.
Every crop grown was at one time a 'weed'.
haha - true! And so many plants that we call 'weeds' today were once valued crops. But they aren't easy to farm, so those plants aren't appreciated any more.

Thanks for the nice words and for checking out my YouTube channel! Even if you aren't in a bad spot, there are so many plants that taste better than anything from the store. And once you get to know these plants, it's like seeing old friends when you travel and there they are, or when the seasons go full cycle and your favorites come back ready to eat. Happy foraging!

There was a guy in Kansas City who did that very thing. He had a few "weeds" growing on his farm, and when we went out to do work, he would pluck off a few new growths, pop them in his mouth and be on his way.
