Steemit Ailment: Cetaphobia
Fear of Whales. Yes that's what it is.

But in Steemit ocean we try and catch their attention. We love to have them see us and hoping to splash some STEEM through their blowholes (sounds pornographic but that's what they are called, really).
Quite a number of blogs have been written about catching whales in Steemit most of them for the purpose of sharing some of their wealth.
A few of my blogs were fortunate enough to catch some whale attention and thankfully I got some decent STEEM dollars from them. Thanks to the whales like @blocktrades and @dantheman and for dolphins or mini-whales like @juneaugoldbuyer, @pharesim, @knozaki2015, @bullionstackers, and others who are generous enough to share their upvotes and attention to my posts. Of course, thanks a million to minnows like me who are ever supportive of my work.
A Whale Mutated

Lately though, some whales have mutated to a different specie and started doing some irrational flagging of posts. And members have been conscious of their presence in Steemit waters hoping they don't see the posts annoying or simply flat out offensive to them. They have been wreaking havoc in the ocean spreading fear throughout Steemit sea.
Thus, the cetaphobia.
Fortunately, my posts seem to elude their attention and just left me alone.
A Hero Among Us
One member took the initiative to defend those who are assailed by the mutated whales. Thanks to @bullionstackers who stands for those oppressed and unjustly bullied by the mutated specie.
How do We overcome cetaphobia?
First of all, believe that not all whales have mutated to a monstrous specie. And there is a group of other species willing to help you out when you have been targeted by one. A chatroom dedicated to mitigate the situation: https://steemit.chat/channel/steemitabuse-appeals.
Do not second-guess your work as a beacon for flagging. Keep writing quality posts and your followers will support you.
Remember, phobias are psychological and are treatable with the right therapy.
Join our initiative and follow @steemsquad. We can help and provide assistance with your issues. Use the TAG "steemsquad" in your quality posts and our members will shoot you an upvote. Check us out in https://steemit.chat/channel/steemsquad and introduce yourself, then post your work in https://steemit.chat/channel/steemsquadpromo .
The Curie Project has also been setup to help with this problem... they are doing a great thing for the community!
Yes they do. We're glad everyone is helping out other members.
