I will start this week journey by describing, in brief, my experience with one of the most relevant things that happend to the platform this week, not the fail of steemit.chat people, the HF 19 upgrade... (part of the HF19 thing it can be found in my introduceyourself post )

Jun 21, 2017 - at something like 20:30 hrs:

Today i arrived from work and found on Steemit that everyone was talking about something called HF19 was release... the first thing come to my mind was.

Well yeah i found that this was not an old transceiver in fact HF19 was for Hardfork 19... which let me even worse. Thinking now it would be a really strange thing that everyones were talking about and old transceiver lol.

I noticed that for some reason that afternoon all my potential payments grew... in fact my introduceyourself post raise to almost $60 for any reason, and something more than amazing for me, but again for some strange reason that payment went down and finally pay $51. (which is extremely great by the way!)

Well i started for asking to people what was this upgrade, so i enter the general forum on steemit.chat .

People started to told me that voting weights increase 4 times, that they change something from exponential to linear... until @CircuitShark, came out with this great explanation

An amazing explanation which by the way made me laugh a lot... but let me again with more questions than answers.

So i thought which could be better to explain this than @donkeypong (a new friend by the way, or i think so) he's been around here for a long time so i think if someone understand this should be him.

Finally, he kindly explain to me with a lot of detail what was this all about ... so i need to say thanks for that.

In short i can say that the upgrade seek to fix the inequality of the votes from new and old users, letting now to distribute your voting strength into 10 votes, this used to be 40 per day. And the second is to make the reward allocation linear based on the amount of Steem Power of your account.

I quote "if the potential payouts went up because of the increased voting power, this could lead into more floating money which could lead to a depreciation of the Steem/BTC exchange rate". And as i said let's celebrate our new money... hoping that the price would not fall to much, i was sure of that!.

Hoping that the value of Steem would not have fallen much, i went today (June 26, 2017) to see coinmarketcap, where a little surprise awaited for me...

I realice that only on June 21 and Jun 25 the price fall a lot something like a 10% from previous day, but it gain stamina again and raises something like 17% again (in case of the later it started to raise too). So maybe (just maybe!) my belief was not founded and it only obey to the pattern of the last weeks of the crypto market, so i realice (once again) why i was one of the worst students in my economics classes...

And also realice (once again too) why i’m not even close to be millionaire... Yeah i lied in my introduceyourself post i'm not able to invest between 20 to 30 million dollars in crypto lol.

Following, with this new week on Steemit, i was able to understand and learn a lot of things related of the platform and people.

Well first of all i learn that its addictive, that from the moment you receive the first real upvote and the first real comment, leaving aside all those people with whom you exchange some upvotes and were you don't have even the most remote idea what they wrote... yeah everyone in this platform has done that... Is magnificent. For someone with almost no participation on social networks, nor in places where pay you to publish things i have to say is great.

Yeah real people actually like what you wrote... some others start to following you, is not like Facebook were your brothers, sisters or friends will follow you, and will comment your post and photos no matter what the hell you publish, they have to!.

And someone is paying you to write and share content... what a great felling. If you have one of the worst weeks of your life, keep your mind occupied writing things for unknown people is the best exercise i've ever have. Believe me i know! (but those are things not concerning this publication)

Also i understand that your wife, boyfriend, girlfriend will not like this in a short period of time... if you have a daughter this could be even worse (not as you may think, this wasn't the reason of that shity week). Kinda remember me back when i was a young boy and play Starcraft (oh great an almighty SC!) on battle.net and my mother yelling me everyday, that i was a yunkie, to go out and play with my friends. She never understood that i was playing with friends... real people! or maybe not... that i will never know.

Well also this week i started to receive payouts for my curation and post, then i try to buy some Steem but something happen... for all those newbies here remember this "Transaction Broadcast Error" and don't hesitate to ask about it, no one knows why this really happen!, and i also realice that this little buddy appear in many other places.

Some possible causes for it, that i was able to collect are: It could be because you enter the wrong password, because you have little money on your account, because you have to wait seven or more days to be able to spend you money, because your computer hate you, because your heart is not pure, because Steemit don't want you here, and a lot of things like that. Is something like the blue screen from windows, that no one ever knows for sure why that happened... remember the "dump of physical memory" just when you finish you most beloved work! is an experience from another world lol!!.

In my case, for that specific problem, i wait until my wallet was with a little more money and everything started working.

Tips for Newbies (learned this week)

• Do not vote on old post, the upvotes and curation rewards only counts for post no older than 6 days!. Yeah if you look at any post from last year an you upvote that you only lost voting power!, lol i did that a lot of times!.

• One really important thing that i learn this week and thanks to @Akrid for the clarification is that all your upvotes only counts until 12 hours to payout! thereafter all the upvotes won't count!... that's why all the promotion to my first post was in vain.

• Another really important thing is that you need to buy Steem power! sell your soul for Steem power!... Is the only thing that will allow you to grow in this community. When you reach 500+ of SP you unlock the slider to choose your allocate of voting power, until that you give 100%.

• Curation rewards maximice when you upvote post that is at least 30 minutes old. Look at this post for more information.

• Discord chat is the replacement when steemit.chat is down.

Final comments

• I'm still trying to understand what the hell Whaleshare is!!!

• This platform needs to be more friendly for new users, i thing this could be a big thing if you want that the community grow exponentially, like facebook, twitter or many others. I think there's a lot of things to improve but this is not the time to write about that.
