Is there a problem creating new accounts ??
I have been trying to get my friends to create accounts here on Steemit and last week two of them took me up on it.
That was 7 days ago and both are still waiting with no account yet. When I created my account it was instant.
They tried to contact support but they just get a canned reply:
Hi and thanks for your message.
We read all of the emails we receive to this address, however, please note that Steemit is in beta and we are unable to process certain types of requests at this time including, but not limited to, emails regarding new accounts, name changes and forgotten passwords.
Thanks for your patience as we develop the website and create additional support features.

Was wondering if anyone had any info on this matter so I can pass it along.
Waiting for more then a month.
People lose interest in steemit !

Yes I was on of the ones that was trying.
I had to go back and try to start another account, the first one never got approved.
Second time I tried it only took about a day to get an account.
So if you are still waiting go back and start a new account and enter your info again.

Yeah two tried creating accounts again and were accepted within a day
One hasn't bothered.

My wife is having the same issue. Hopefully we get an answer soon.
Thx my neighbor has been waiting for 3 days as well.
I don't know what to tell them.... be nice if the signup email gave them some info on any delays with account creation
My son has been waiting for about 10 days. There must have been a big glitch.

I wounder how many new people are waiting too long and just saying forget it.
Be interesting to know who had to wait the longest.....
