I am a complete hypocrite, if I would say I never dreamt of becoming big in Steemit. I want to be big for myself, for the people I brought here and for the people I will be bringing here.

So, for the past weeks, I entirely used my earnings to POWER UP. Yes, you heard me right, all of the money I got was paid for Steem Power. I have not done any cashouts for more than a month already.

From being very skeptic, now I totally trust the platform.

Before, when my earnings reach 15 SBD, I immediately would cash it out because I had a fear that this wouldn't last. I didn't fully understand the blockchain. Perhaps, until now, I still do not know how it really works and still in need of guidance from others.

However, I had a refreshed perspective after the 7th Cebu Steemit Bloggers Meet-up last February 4,2018. They emphasized to spare a portion of our Steem Dollars to power up! Moreover, the local steemit community had a power up challenge to steemians! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to participate in the contest. But, it gave me a verification that the challenge should be taken seriously - especially if you want to help yourself grow in the community.

My Month Challenge

This is my personal challenge this month. I will call it "Power Up March". Meaning, I will use all my earnings in the month of March to Power Up! I will buy Steem and convert it to Steem Power. As of this writing, my Steem Power is only 53, I will exhaust all means to increase this value.

I do not know if you like this idea but, I believe this will be fun and useful!

It is very important to listen and learn from people who are ahead of us here in Steemit.

Let's face it, they knew better!

Actually, during the meet-up I was very surprised because the Cebu core leaders are still very young. Some of them are still college students. But when they shared about the pertinent topics to the newbies, they wowed everyone. They certainly knew what is this about.

Increase Voting Power

You actually have a power in Steemit called a Voting Power. A strong voting power means an increased Steem Power, which means your votes have a bigger value. See the photos below for an example:

The image says I got 33 upvotes from other steemians but the value of the post is only 0.38$. This is because the voting power of the curators are not yet high or sometimes it is being adjusted.

In this image, I only got 21 upvotes but it amounts to 4.01$. Meaning the curators here have a higher Steem Power compared to the image above.

Solve Bandwidth Problem

Since I started Steemit, I rarely use Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. I love reading blogs of people I follow, engaging with the community and resteeming their posts. However, as much as I wanted to do this often, I would face a bandwidth problem. Then I learned that in order to solve bandwidth problems, I only need to increase my Steem Power.

Personally, I am not into investments and things like that. I believe that nothing in this world is certain.

But, Steemit changed it. I believe that this platform is lasting because it very healthy to the people.

You learn. You earn.

More than that, I believe that when I invest in Steem Power, I will be helping myself and other people grow together in this community.
