Three scientists received the Nobel Prize in Medicine thanks to his discovery of the internal clock of man and the biological rhythm.
The scientists who received it were Jeffrey C. Hall, Michael Rosbash and Michael W. Young, all from the United States.
According to the Nobel committee, the three scientists are instrumental in explaining universally "how plants, animals, and humans adjust their biological rhythms so as to be in sync with the earth's revolution."
The scientists uncovered biological rhythms after discovering the fruit fly genes responsible for daily rhythm.
The gene is responsible for the production of protein in the cell at night which is then described in the afternoon.
The discovery of genes and proteins responsible for our biological rhythms helps scientists explain how humans adapt to different conditions, such as how to adjust to light.
From the discovery also, scientists can explain about the causes of simple experience, such as why people sleep at night and wake up in the morning, and about jet lag.
Hall is now 72 years old and has retired. He spent his research career at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Rosbash is still a researcher and faculty member at Brandeis. While Young works at Rockefeller University in New York.
Each nobel winner will receive a medal with name carvings and a prize money of around 12 billion.

Super interesting! I knew there had to be a biological reason why I wake up at the same time everyday..

Very interesting post thank you for sharing!
