Weirdest Fauna of Amazon.

Hello friends,many of us have heard the name of Amazon rainforest of South America,right? The Amazon rainforest covers 50% of the world's total area of rainforest and most of the part is covered under the boundaries of Brazil.Many of us know about the animals like Green Anaconda,Bullet Ants,Red Bellied Piranha and Poison Dart frogswhich are deadly.But apart from these species many dangerous and strange species are there which we don't know.Today we will discuss about those animals .So,Let's Begin!

1> Pacu - This sweet water fish of South Americais a dangerous resident of Amazon.The specialisation of this fish is its teeth which is identical to human beings.They can grow upto 3.5 feet in length and 40 kgs in weight.Though they don't attack human like the Piranhas,you should keep distance from them because if they attack,their sharp teeth and strong jaws can hurt you badly.

2> Payara - Payara or "Vampire Fish" have two large vampire like teeth on the lower jaw of its oral cavity.They can grow upto 4 feet in length and they are carnivorous.But the good news is,their favourite prey is another ruthless fish- The Red Bellied Piranha!!

3> Glass Frog - We have heard about the Poison Dart Frog .But we don't know about another poisonous frog of Amazon,The Glass Frog.Amazon rainforest is full of diversity and this frog is really amazing.It is because their skin and muscles are transparent and you can see their organs clearly from outside without harming or touching them.If every species had this luck today to have a transparent body,we would not have bisected them in our laboratories and killed them in innumerous digits!

4> Electric Eel - This fish though not a species of Eel,is called so because of its shape like a Eel.This fish lives in the Amazon river and if it located any danger,it can charge upto 860 volts of electric shock for 2 millisecond on its enemy which can kill or paralyze the opponent.Locals also call it "Open Electric Wire in The Water".

5> Arapaima- The biggest species of fish of Amazon rainforest is the Arapaima.This fish can grow upto 2 metres long and weigh upto 100 kgs.Till now the heaviest Arapaima was of 200 kgs.This fish is carnivorous and generally eat small fishes and birds.But the fish is an exception than other species of fishes due to the presence of teeth in its tongue!!!!! Sounds really Fishy,Right?
