This is the best explanation I've come across so far about STEEM currency, I think you should do more 101 videos they are very helpful and straightforward. Great post :)
I was also wondering if you could enlighten me on something else I've come across on steemit it. Some users in their older posts have a line through the payout amount. It says that their payout which still has some time remaining before it's payout date has declined What does that mean exactly? Thankyou in advance :)
That's a voluntary choice the user makes when they upload content to decline payout. When you post content you have the choice to receive a 50/50 payout (50% in Steem Dollars, 50% in Steem Power), a payout entirely in Steem Power, or no payout at all.
