I agree with many of the sentiments in your post, but I think "losers" don't necessarily have to be left behind. I mean, a leader should try and lift a person who might be a slacker. But if they repeatedly try and fail, at some point it may be the prudent move to accept that the person is unchangeable.

I was thrilled to see that your recognized being selfish isn't inherently bad... There seems to be some misconception in our world that being selfish means lying, or cheating, or being greedy beyond what we deserve.

I'm selfish and damn proud of it. I think most of us could learn to be a little more selfish, and pursue our own values instead of the ones people tell us we should follow.

Speaking of following, the selfish thing alone deserves an insta-follow. :)
