My very first post and thanks to Steemit!

Chances are, you are coming to this platform through search engines or even through social media giants like Facebook, Instagram etc.
Okay, what's so special about this thing? It's yet another social media thing, nothing special right? Wrong!!!

Here are some key points that differ Steemit from other social media platforms :

1. Steemit is a platform that is based on blockchain. Others are not.

2. What differs Steemit from other platforms being a blockchain based social media? Well, it's not controlled by a single entity like others and the user has self control over his/her account.

3. Which social media platform pays you to share contents? Steemit does.
   What!!!!😱 Yes, it does.😄

4. Steemit is not only limited to a social media platform but it also has it's own cryptocurrency known as STEEM.

5. Users get paid in STEEM that can be converted into Bitcoins later. I would not convert it to bitcoins to be honest because I see huge potential in this platform and the value of STEEM could rise upto 4 to 5 times of the current value. Please do not take it as a guarantee or financial advice because this is what I personally feel and I do not recommend others to depend solely on this. Doing you own research is always good.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND BEFORE USING STEEMIT FOR SHARING CONTENTS :

1. Always keep your content rich, informative and up to date.

2. Avoid plagiarism. (Plagiarism means to copy-paste contents from other sources without permission of the author and not mentioning post credits.

3. Always try to share content that is confirmed from sources and 100% authentic.

4. Avoid posting sensitive contents that might hurt or offend others.

5. Avoid abusing/misusing the platform and keep it as much clean as possible.
