'How to check your voting power' for newbies
Hello and welcome to steemit!
As you should already know you can vote on people's posts if you like them.
Now, this is not unlimited. You start with 100% votingpower.
If you make a vote on 100% (minnows always do, whales and dolphins with more capital can choose to do 1%(of that 2%) for example) you will use up 2% of your votingpower.
Each day you regenerate 20% votingpower.
The lower your votingpower is, the less weight your vote carry so the lower the reward .
Where to check your amount of votingpower?

On the left side you have your votingpower in the list.

Hey, I'm relatively new here and I am lost. I checked my voting power a couple days ago and I had like 30 hours to be at 100% now here it is 2 days later, not up voting, posting or re-steeming anything and it now says 60 hours can you explain what is going on. The only thing that comes to mind is I've been liking certain videos from one user and some bonehead named berniesanders has flagged me whatever that means. Why am I loosing power when I'm not doing anything, up-voting, re-steeming, posting or commenting?

normally you should lose 2% votingpower when you upvote on 100% and you gain 20% every day. you shouldnt lose power just not upvoting. You can check if you upvoted someone on steemd.com/@immortal1663 there you have a history ;)
berniesanders might downvoted you because of spam or plagiarism or meaby becuase you bought upvotes from bots in the last day or last 3.5 days of your post?
He downvoted me because I like content he doesn't, he hit me with some automatic flagged stuff because I like something and he doens't. I sent him a reply asking him if this was a socialist platform where he was the one who chooses what I'm supposed to like and not me and that I could give two shits about what the people I upvote do with there earnings. I guess that's how it works here, if you have the stroke and SP you can just screw people with your downvote because you don't like what they have to say or like. No worries I can just keep downvoting all his crap and keep buying steem till I'm on top. Thanks for the input.
haha. I try to avoid making enemy's here because you end up losing earning. you are a small fish (sorry to say) so you will dissapear from his radar very quickly :)

Dude, that is what I always tell my friends. The best moment to post is now! Steemit is steadily and fastly growing, it's the blockchain network with the most activity, and as a project it has so many possibilities to grow. All of what you earn today will become so much more in matter of months. Anyway, thank you. You earned my follow :D
