Steemit - a chance or the same thing only in turquoise?

in #steemit6 years ago (edited)

This is my most important contribution so far.

Please give this post a chance by reading it carefully. But if you do not have the time, save it for later!
For this opportunity I would like to address some very important things about Steemit.

Steemit grows! ... and that fast!

New  platforms such as DTube, DMania and Busy.org, which are all  built on the Steem Blockchain, are generating a lot attention and attracting many new users

Stem and SBD prices have more than quintupled since I  started here (June 2017)! There is so much posted, commented and voted as never before and this is really great!

However, all this also casts a shadow.

Like on other big platforms like Facebook, Youtube and Twitter, we are  flooded with Clickbait post, stolen posts, spam and much more that just aims to make money. More and more profit-hungry (I'll call them) users, behind whom,  however, often hide bots, vote cartels and pyramid schemes, misuse Steemit to enlarge their own power.

Steemit, a chance or the same thing only in turquoise?

Steemit,  compared to the previous generation of  social media, offers us the opportunity to financially  support valuable contributions, directly and without detours. For that we do not even have to use our own money! We as users of this platform give Steem its value and also we contribute to  the future of this awesome platform.

Unfortunately, many of us having this power are not aware of it. Instead, many who hear of Steemit for the first time, immediately have $ signs in their eyes. They start their careers with voting and commenting on the big Posts, whithout checking the value or intention of them. They do it just to get attention and votes for themselfs.

Who can blame them?

Also I myself found to Steemit this way. I saw the potential to get paid for posting things i like to do.  it is becoming increasingly difficult for curators to find valuable, original contributions to support them.

Believe me, if you regularly share valuable contributions and do not  lose your motivation, you will be found!

The questions that each new  user should ask:

Why am I here on Steemit? What do I have to offer and what do I want to achieve?

Answering these  questions can save you a lot of frustration and help illuminate your own  path.

Remember the power of Steem is still with us, people who have visions! We must not give our power to third parties such as the aforementioned Money Bots, Spamer and Pyramid schemes! Let us use together this new kind of social media to do something good in the world!

In  my time, I have been able to meet some of the exemplary Steemians who  use their skills and gifts to share them with the world, and there are  so many undiscovered pearls waiting patiently and confidently for their  discovery!

You deserve my FULL RESPECT!

The curators, who use their Steempower to search for pearls from a  seemingly endless ocean and put them under conservation, deserve great  respect and full support!

In humanity we trust, Steem we belive!

Stay creative!

I think the problem is most people don't know how to act "professional" and they rush everything. They don't take time to make something that will be valuable for a longer time instead of getting a quick buck. It is disappointing sometimes when posts are missed, but if they're good they are timeless and you can always mention them in the future.
Also by professional I mean, spell check (using language barrier as excuse), making text easy to read (proofreading) and lastly: accepting and giving criticism/feedback.
Also having consistency helps, decide what to post about and the length of the post. This way followers know what to expect in the future and gladly come back for more :)

So true my friend. Good valuable posts are definitive timeless. Steemit is getting bingger and bigger and its more difficult for currators to find this valuable post, but i belive that people creating them with passion will be found earlyier or later. Thnk you for your great feedback! :)

The spam and bots are definitely annoying. I usually just ignore them.
You have good things to share especially your art. I know you will do well in the future. Just keep at it and you too will be noticed by many more.

Thank you for this kind words. I will stay with this passion and all the good feedback is a big motivation. Lets share what we love right? ^^

What a wise pearl @bronkong. Everyone has the responisibility to contruibute to Steemit's succes, and it's not hard to discover how we can do it. In long therm it's a everyone benefit. And has you said, total respect and support to who's curating!
I think one important thing to do, since the increasing traffic, is to create more specific and active communities helping and sustaining each others. Drawing communities :D, a local communities and so on.

Yes i think you are right. Comunity work is also on of the enjoyable things. Thank you for your feedback :)

Steemit could be the same thing only in turquoise, but I believe it is up to the caring exemplary community to fight the spammers, bots, etc. I think we have to the power to make it valuable if we don't sit back and watch evil prevail as is so common in society. I'm sure the majority is here because we want a better world.
