I'm a Steemit Pollyanna
I was telling my friends last night that Steemit is where I belong. "Steemit is made up of weirdos, and I can say what I want there. Then I post my Steemit article on facebook, and people are like blah blah blah." And my friend replied, "Don't you think that's because people are incentivised to be agreeable?"

There's a part of me that knows this. But my relationship with Steemit is: I'm blissfully ignorant. To me, it's a Utopian haven. Sometimes I'll check out an article about the politics and drama of this place. At one point I made a decision that I wasn't going to mind that drama, and I was going to hold my blissful vision.
My husband came into our room sarcastic one night and said, "I'm going to write an article on Steemit: "TEN REASONS STEEMIT IS THE BEST! 1. IT'S ON THE INTERNET! 2. YOU CAN TALK TO PEOPLE! 3. YOU CAN READ STUFF PEOPLE SAY!" I know that's fucking hilarious, and people do put out that ass-kissing, boring, circle-jerk content...... but not my Steemit! Don't touch it! It's the most beautiful thing EVAR!
I'm going to keep my head in the clouds with Steemit, you guys. I'm going to keep thinking you're the most innovative, leading edge people on the planet. Come the fuck on, you are. The people in Uganda walking around their villages introducing people to the blockchain and lifting their people out of poverty, Steemit Basic Income projects... don't try to sink my boat. Sure, there are less than awesome people on here, but who cares. I've learned not to pay them any mind, leave them to their own devices, and mind the awesome people. Show me a project that's more leading edge than Steemit. I feel we're an amalgamation of the best minds.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Hear, hear!
I think it's not just asskissing and the fact that it's easier to make money being nice ( is it really? ), I generally believe that there are more like minded and kind people on here than on any other social media platform.
It might also help that we're a smaller bunch of people and that we look for niches/ similar souls / like minded people. who are often more aligned with us.
If you then manage to filter out the trolls and the negative nellies, it's quite a nice sea to swim in.
C ya!

P.S. Perhaps your husband is somewhat jealous of the attention you get on here and pay to others ;>)
No, it's cause he's on Steemit, too.
Haha! I see :>)
Lol. Yup. Im so glad youve uped the game here :). This should be interesting.
