Will the Smart Media Tokens (SMT) Make The Steem Blockchain More Stable?

Jus a thought...Would the MSTs make the underlying blockchain tech more stable by not having to withstand ebb and flow of the individual accounts having a direct impact on Steem's price?

Not sure is that makes much sense, but it does seem like SMTs are gearing us in a way that makes us more responsible for the performance of our account then the current situation.

Any thoughts? How far off am I? Thanks!
