How To Make A Witch For Halloween

Preparing your yard for Halloween to scare all the little monsters, will require a scary witch. You can have the witch stirring a pot, flying on a broomstick, standing beside your door with flashing lights, the witch could make your yard the talk of the neighbourhood. You can make a witch with a few supplies, and the project is simple enough anybody can do it. You can even have your kids join in, and do a little painting.

• Supplies
  *Paper Mache (water, flour, newspaper)
  *Paint Brush
  *Green Paint
  *Female Mannequin Head
  *Cotton Stuffing
  *Clothing for witch, Hood, Witch Hat
  *Broom stick, Zip Ties, Scotch Tape, Hanger (optional)

To get started, we need to use the cotton stuffing first. Make 5-6 long thick dreads using the cotton stuffing. Next, braid them on the mannequin's head. When your finished braiding, frizzle the mannequin's hair.

• Paper Mache.
  *1 part flour to 1 part water. Stir together.

Cover the mannequin's face and neck with the paper mache. Cover with no more than 4 layers. Create a nose and chin using the paper mache and attach the nose to the mannequin's face. Wait until the paper mache dries before continuing the next step.

Now the fun stuff, it's time to paint the witch. Use a few coats if needed.

When your all done painting you should have scary green witch. You can leave the eyes unpainted or paint new eyes for a spooky look.

If you want to stand your witch upright, use a broom stick and insert the broom stick in the bottom of the mannequin's head. Attach a hanger to the broom stick for shoulders, tie it with a string or zip ties. Use the cotton stuffing around the hanger for a more defined shoulder look, use some tape. Add a witch costume with a hood, or a witch costume with a witch hat.

Now you have a scary witch that will spook even the scariest monster's that attempt to get to your candy.
