3rd Steemit Chess Tournament Concluded with Success:
This was an exciting one! The 3rd Steemit Chess Tournament Just Concluded and it was success, we had even more participants than usual even if some of them came late because they were in different time zone.
This time we counted with the participation of @schamangerbert, @bmwaso, @thatmemeguy, @krasirmirkolev, @modnar, @greatwolf and @vikirumbek. Thank you to everyone who came to participate and compete!
The prizes were just delivered! Congratulations to the winners!
Time For Revange!
Finally came the time to see @krasirmirkolev(vega-3) dethroned as he was our two times in a row Steemit Chess Champion and he was dethroned by no other than his archrival from previous tournaments @schamangerbert(herbyW). Very well played @schamangerbert! With 5 wins(2 of them vs @krasirmirkolev) in a row and 17 points he was clearly the dominant force this tournament.
Тhe game that ended @krasimirkolev(vega-3) victory streak was very close and disputed, ending with 74 turns in total. @Schamangerbert(HerbyW) finishing @krasimirkolev(vega-3) in a hilarious way - converting his last two pawns in queens.

The Surprise!
This tournament the surprise came from @thatmemeguy(DGATESS) as he finished in 3rd place even if he came 5 minutes late and he had to go before the tournament was over. In that short period of time @thatmemeguy(DGATESS) managed to win 2 games and score 4 points which gave him the 3rd place finish. On a side note he started with a handicap(1 loss) as he didn't knew in his 1st game that he had 20 seconds to make the first move and therefore unintentionally he defaulted his 1st game. That probably cost him the 2nd place.
Humiliating Defeat!
Another surprise for me was the appearance of @greatwolf as the tournament time was really bad for him(7:00am local time) and yet he still managed to come in the last 10 minutes of the tournament and wins his 1st match in less than 10 minutes, making me ( @bmwaso ) suffer a humiliating defeat. Well played @greatwolf if you had more time you could easily be one of the top 3 finalists!
Sadly I can't award myself ( @bmwaso ) :P with prize money so 2nd place prize money goes to 3rd place finish @thatmemeguy(DGATESS) and 3rd place prize pool to 4th place finish @krasirmirkolev(vega-3).
Thanks for a review, @bmwaso! Unfortunately, sunday afternoon with the kids is as good as impossible to play a tournament - even if it's only an hour. Upvoted @schamangerbert's post as well, really looking forward to finally playing a tournament :)

I was saving my strength for the next tournament(better rewards). If I lose badly this one, people will underestimate me for the next one. It's all part of my grand plan.

@Schamangerbert should have just queened all remaining pawns just for the hell of it because that would be amusing to see.
If he wins faster he gets more possibilities to win points. That's why some people have more games played than others.
