Steemit voting power to increase 4x??!!
Ever wondered why Steemit accounts take so long to get approved?
Steemit has to pay for every user who wishes to sign up, that is how the blockchain is designed to function. Lately, a lot of bots are trying to open accounts to get small doses of STEEM power and make a small buck here and there. The platform is forced to pay for all these fake accounts!
What is this doing to this great platform? It is just taking the creativity away..and should be stopped.
Is there a way to stop this? Yes..
The next Hardfork is determined to find a way around this so that only active users stay in the community.
Also, another Hardfork (No. 19) is designed to give new users or users with low STEEM power a better experience. Upvote value is expected to go up by around 4 times and the concept of creating curation rewards is going to slowly fade away. As a result voting power will become proportional to STEEM power and this would encourage new users to contribute even more. Few users believe that this is already in place and that is exactly why their earnings shot up.

Steemit released their Pre-Release of the Steemit Hard Fork #19 a couple of weeks back and a few users recently noticed that their earnings increased.
