Steemit Hypocrisy on the Rise
I recently joined steemit and i was having good time with this wonderful decentralized social platform. It was a great attempt to discourage corporate culture and have people's own network.
But things are changing fast, many would disagree with me for this post but i understand its natural to have difference of opinion.
When i explored deeper & more, i found out that people on mass level don't change their bad traits but i don't want to give direct examples of them.
- People with new accounts posting their 'intro-post' at least 3-4 times.
- I am not against women or something like that but most viral post are about women showing skin on their path to become kim kardashian and yes they do earn more upvotes
- People even sharing fake stories to get more upvotes like someone posted "he was fired from job" (Just one example)
- Same type of fake accounts like facebook with fake gender description are being created to get fake quick reputation
- People are again starting to make region, religion & race based group and tags
Anyways my point is that why people can't be original and why can't they enjoy real human emotions. Thanks for reading & i definitely would like to hear you opinions too. And...

Steemit is an internet platform. it has no capacity to change human behaviour. :) Don't take it too seriously.

It SEEMS as though there is a MUCH higher average level of posting/content/interaction on Steemit BECAUSE it's all a giant mishmash in the "new" and "home" feeds relative to FB, though, given the algorithms on FB have pretty rigidly segmented most or all of the groups (not to mention the self-selection that goes on on one's home page)- i.e., sampling bias is much more limited here.
And I REALLY doubt very many people are taking the time and effort very high-quality posts (not necessarily lucrative, but high quality) take to put together are putting that kind of content on FB more than very occasionally- and why should they?
Yes that's my point also that Steemit has given more control to curation but human trait remains the same, you would have seen some celeb profiles on FB, instagram ,Twitter etc. They regularly try to produce quality content but its a fake culture. same thing is happening here.
By the way , your last line was stressing on some words more than needed, making it ambiguous. I think my post is giving people more tongue twisters than actual meaning. Anyways thanku so much for sharing your opinion :)

We can disagree with others, does not mean we must hate them.
But if we care, we should learn why and how they take advantage of people(get upvotes).
I agree with you that and i personally don't hate anyone but there are always two choices for everything . Good approach & Bad approach, i will not take bad approach to get upvotes. But thanku so much for sharing your opinion :)
This unfortunately will not change, it's the nature of social media. People just have different values. It would be nice if this platform was free from it but I don't see that happening. The best thing to do is curate the content we see by only following who we like or up-voting the posts that we like.
