STEEMFEST MINNOW COMP - Lisbon 2017

My name is blapone or JJ and Im part of TeamAustralia and a 27yo Australian Steemit member as of May 2017. I have a working background in audio visual event services working in hotels and casinos for the past few years until the work slowly dwindled away at the start of this year. I have thought about working in journalism or online blogging in the past and have enjoyed working on my writing skills by blogging on Steemit the past month or so, this is something I have always wanted to grow in my skillset but have never really found any incentive or chance to do so in the past. So the Steemit community has opened up a lot of really realistic and viable growth options for me and I am very grateful to be a new user here. I plan to get more involved the longer I am here and I want to go to Steemfest because I want to become more knowledgeable of the working community and technology behind Steemit, I would like to network aswell as experience the convention because it is something that I do for a living, I have worked the past 5 years running the technical side of events similar to meetings like Steemfest/ meetings of groups and congregations in the hotel ect and to be a guest instead of a worker at something would be new for me. I have many talents but the notable include my ability to have fun and experience new things.. um ,, my skills include those of my work history but I can also play guitar and enjoy the beach!
I have not had many opportunities for work in my industry after moving back to my hometown and I plan to just continue working on my writing skills, work on my garden and develop an independent wealth strategy while blogging my experience. My budget would be probably $1500aud for flights and the same for accommodation and food. I am sure I could organise a small amount of fiat if this dream actually became a reality but I would hope this project could fund the majority of the costs included, I have a valid passport and have my fingers crossed.
